I doubt you'll recall this,...Hello Mr. Gaydos,

I doubt you'll recall this, since I know you're a very busy person and it's been a very long time, but we met at Wizard World Chicago 2004 and the following year you did a fantastic sketch for me as a 1 year anniversary/engagement gift to my husband (Travis), who is an even bigger fan of yours then I am. It is a stunning shot of Jessica Jones against a shaded window with her signature cigarette. I believe it was going to be used in the Alias omnibus at one time, but got cut. (http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=68408) We still adore this piece so very much and it's framed on our wall, with several of the pages we purchased (from you and elsewhere) of original Alias artwork.

Next April 13th. (2017) will be our 10th wedding anniversary. I want to get him something really special and meaningful, so I am writing to you to see if it would be at all possible to get another commission/sketch from you? That would be an amazing gift for him, as he loves Jessica Jones, and I know it will be a huge surprise. I wanted to give you plenty of time to respond, so I have the entire year to work with if at any point you could work us into your schedule. It wouldn't have to be anything fancy or elaborate either, just a quick sketch would be stellar. Please let me know if this would be at all possible. Thank you in advance for whatever your reply may be!

Additionally, I don't want to be a bother, but if you would have the opportunity for this request, I'm a huge Jubilee fan, and I've always wanted to see if you might be willing to draw a Jubilee for me as well? This is of course far secondary to the piece for my husband though, so if it's a choice between the two, it's Jessica all the way. But I couldn't help but ask about Jubilee.

Thank you so much for your time,
Nancy
unicornpegasusATgmail.comUnicornPegasushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16364347950474668198noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8039666087231887311.post-68720317285187192802016-04-08T16:17:35.487-07:002016-04-08T16:17:35.487-07:00Michael --
I see a few examples here of the "...Michael --

I see a few examples here of the "using the pad/computer" instead of "using nothing but pen and ink" that we spoke about last weekend at the St. Louis Comic-Con. (I hope you remember me, I was the girl in the purple blazer/Kilgrave shirt from DT Forum!)

Thanks for the fascinating and lengthy talk, I appreciated your time and enjoyed looking at your work. If you remember me at all shoot me a message!

(Patti Browning, browningp@outlook.com)browningphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09125278696742720293noreply@blogger.com
